Moon Biomes

The Moon is a pretty rocky place wherever you go, but it still has a few different biomes to explore that you may be interested in.

Looking for somewhere specific? Only some biomes can spawn near each other, with the Lunar Sands and Lunar Plains serving as a sort of "neutral ground" between them all.

月壤采集器

The Moon Dust Harvester is an optional multiblock that collects lunar regolith. This regolith can then be processed into infinite sources of certain ores!
The downside? There's four types of regolith and each can only be harvested in a certain biome, so if you want all of them, you'll have to set up some infrastructure.

Upgrading the coils will reduce the energy cost. Accumulators can be used to transport energy around.

Certus Regolith Dust can only be harvested in the Certus Fields biome.

It can be processed into Certus Quartz and Zinc.

item.tfg.cassiterite_regolith_dust

Cassiterite Regolith Dust requires the Lightbloom Star Gazers biome.

It is a source of Tin.

item.tfg.goethe_regolith_dust

Goethe Regolith Dust is harvested in the Chorus Thicket biome.

It can be processed into Copper and Iron.

item.tfg.bright_regolith_dust

Bright Regolith Dust is from the Lunar Reef biome.

It is a source of Diamond and Gold.

As part of their processing, all of these Regolith Dusts are turned into Dusty Ores. These can only be centrifuged for resources for now - further extraction will require some lategame ore processing on Venus.

Be sure to use a Large Chemical Reactor to get perfect overclocking on these recipes! If you want to set up more passive automation for AE2 components or Railgun Ammo, these regolith harvesters are essential!
