Optional Mods
Here's some more mods that are compatible with TFG but aren't included by default. Feel free to add them to your own instance of the modpack!
Visual
- Distant Horizons (CF, MR) - TFG comes with configurations to get it working with TFC's world generation. IMPORTANT: DH will be unable to generate LODs unless the mod Chunky is removed.
- BlueMap - TFG comes with a resource pack for it to work with some of TFC's blocks.
Third Person
- Shoulder Surfing Reloaded (CF, MR) - Improved third person camera mod. Client-side, so you can install it even if you're playing on someone else's server.
Resource Packs
- ILAORE's 32x Texture Packs - for TFC, Create, AE2, and GregTech. If you like higher detailed textures, you might like one of these, but keep in mind that a lot of blocks in TFG do not have 32x versions so there will be some style clashing.
- Ad Astra 3D (CF, MR) - Replaces the usual pixelated textures of the celestial bodies in different sky boxes with 3D models. Goes great with shaders!
- HotOrNot 3D Mittens (MR) - Changes the appearance of the TFC HotOrNot mittens into a 3D model.
- Naturalis (CF, MR) - Makes fruit trees and grain crops more "bushy" looking.
- TFC Livestock Skins (CF) - Adds some variations of livestock animals like alpacas, chickens, and ducks, based on the climate and block they spawned on. Requires ETF and EMF to be installed as well.
- lsc's Player Dolls (CF, MR) - A simple resource pack that transforms vanilla Player Heads into adorable dolls. Put a plushie of GregT next to your EBF! Requires ETF and EMF to be installed as well.
Content
Addons
- Epic Knights of TerraFirmaGreg (CF) - Adds additional weapons and armor to the TFC era of the modpack. Not included by default because of a lot of extra equipment bloat.
- Via Romana: (CF) - Adds infrastructure driven fast travel. Allowing you create road networks with signs to travel between locations. TFG includes a built in config file for allowing roads to be made out of many of our blocks.
With Custom Recipes
- Create: Sound of Steam (CF, MR) - expands on create's Steam Whistle and adds a ton more options to let you play music. Not included by default because of how niche it is. We include our own recipes for it though.
- Chimes (CF) - adds some wind chimes. Not included by default to avoid modpack bloat, but we do have our own recipes for it.
- Create: Extra Gauges (CF, MR) - expands on create's factory gauges. If you add it to your modpack, you'll get TFG recipe changes.
- Create: Railways Navigator (CF, MR) - Expands on train scheduling, adds passenger information displays for both trains and stations, and includes a navigator device that can tell you which trains to board for your intended journey. Not included by default because it primarily benefits large, rail-heavy multiplayer servers. Custom recipes included.
